The AsciLab S6B are compact passive speakers designed to deliver controlled and consistent sound reproduction in medium-sized spaces. This 2-way design combines a waveguide-optimised tweeter with an internal phase plug, developed using finite element analysis (FEA), with a 6.5" Purifi aluminium cone woofer, coupled with two side-mounted Purifi passive radiators.
This architecture allows for precise dispersion management, reduced phase interference and effective control of internal resonances, resulting in a linear frequency response and a perfectly stable sound stage. The aluminium woofer, thanks to its high rigidity, limits distortion at high sound pressure levels, ensuring defined bass and low distortion even at high volumes.
The system is complemented by a non-magnetic crossover, designed to prevent hysteresis effects and individually adjusted using a Klippel NFS system, ensuring perfectly precise tuning.
S6B models are not eligible for the waveguide replacement option.
The tweeters in the AsciLab S6B feature a waveguide and internal phase plug, designed using finite element analysis (FEA) to precisely manage sound dispersion. These elements prevent phase interference, reduce internal resonance and improve off-axis dispersion. The advantages of this type of configuration include a more linear frequency response, reduced distortion and improved sound spatialisation, resulting in a more coherent sound stage.

Despite their relatively compact size, the 6.5" Purifi woofers in the AsciLab S6B speakers are capable of filling spaces up to 25m² with powerful, well-defined bass. The aluminium cone ensures perfect reproduction of low frequencies. It provides exceptional rigidity for faithful, distortion-free reproduction even at high volumes, thanks to its ability to limit cone deformation at high sound pressure levels. High-performance and dynamic, these Purifi woofers deliver near-perfect performance.
The AsciLab S6B speakers feature two 8" passive radiators positioned on each side. These help to limit unwanted resonance while optimising low-frequency response. This solution also helps to reduce distortion at high volumes, unlike a bass reflex port, which can generate turbulence. AsciLab has also chosen to incorporate two passive radiators in order to maintain a relatively compact speaker design.

The materials used in the S6B crossover system are non-magnetic to prevent any hysteresis effects that could cause energy dissipation and produce distortion. In addition, each speaker is tuned using a Klippel NFS system for millimetre-precise performance.
