Dual ES9219C DAC

For its DC06, iBasso chooses to use a pair of ES9219C digital to analog conversion chips, one per channel, to achieve a low noise floor for a precise and transparent sound. These chips also provide amplification to deliver plenty of power. In addition, this new chip ensures low power consumption without negatively impacting performance.

A perfectly mastered architecture

The DC06's circuitry demonstrates intelligent design. It uses a synchronous DC-DC converter, a low-noise charge pump and an LDO to provide an independent power supply to the amplifier section. This allows the amplifier to always operate at its full potential, significantly boosting the power output.

NDK Femtosecond clock

The DC06 is equipped with an NDK femtosecond oscillator. This allows an efficient reduction of phase noise while providing a more accurate clock signal to the DAC.

MQA Decoding

The iBasso DC06 allows the decoding and playback of MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) files up to MQA 16x. This type of file allows to enjoy an excellent sound quality, as close as possible to the original studio recording, while maintaining a reasonable file size adapted to streaming.

Connectivity & LED Indicator

The input of the DC06 is simply on a USB-C connector, embedding a UAC2.0 receiver and allowing to easily connect a smartphone. For the output, the device provides unbalanced 3.5mm jack and balanced 4.4mm jack. With the USB driver installed, the DC06 can even be used as a sound card for a computer.

In addition, between its two outputs, an LED indicator displays the format of the file being played : blue for DSD, green for PCM, purple for MQA and red ofr standby.

A dedicated application

Windows 10 and Android 5.0 or later support the UAC2.0 protocol by default. However, for compatibility reasons, Android smartphones still use the SRC protocol. When the DC06 is connected, the maximum volume level is set by default. To control the volume level of the device, iBasso has developed a UAC2.0 mobile application offering 64 step quality hardware control. It is available free of charge for Android devices.

Chouette petit DAC !
Acheté pour exploiter principalement du FLAC, branché sur un Sony WH1000XM3 actuellement (et peut être plus gros un jour).

Très satisfait du produit. Construit en aluminium, il respire la qualité. Livré avec toute la connectique nécessaire (USB-c / USB-c, USB-c / USB-a, USB-c / lightning) cela donne une impression de sérieux de la part du vendeur. De plus, sa petite taille (à peine plus qu'une clé USB), il se transporte facilement.

Utilisé sur Windows 11 aussi bien qu'Android (penser à utiliser l'application iBasso UAC), je n'ai rencontré aucun soucis, la lecture est fluide (aucun délai après une pause par exemple). Tout a été fait automatique, il suffit de brancher le câble et c'est parti, vraiment pratique.

Au niveau de l'audio, j'en suis très satisfait. J'ai immédiatement ressenti un gain de précision, et de propreté, quel que soit le style écouté !

Bref, je recommande fortement ce produit pour les personnes cherchant un DAC portable !
