SHANLING UA1 PLUS
Portable USB-C DAC / Headphone Amplifier 2xCS43131 32bit 768kHz DSD512 Black
With the UA1 Plus USB-C DAC and portable headphone amplifier, Shanling is unveiling an ultra-compact, affordable device that will let you play high-resolution audio files anywhere, without taking up too much space. The successor to the UA1 Pro, the UA1 Plus incorporates two CS43131 DAC chips and a CT7601 USB processor, enabling it to decode up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD up to DSD512 with very low background noise and distortion. This portable USB DAC is particularly useful for smartphones or other devices that don't have an analogue output that's directly compatible with your headphones or earphones. What's more, UAC1.0 mode is available so you can use the UA1 Plus with a video game console such as the Nintendo Switch, for example.
Dual CS43131 DAC
The CS43131 DAC chip is a high-performance 32bit dual-channel model combined with a high-fidelity headphone amplifier. With its low power consumption, it maintains the battery life of the devices to which the UA1 Plus is connected. It enables the UA1 Plus to decode up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD up to DSD512. The output stage can reach a power of 80mW at 32 Ohm.
Interchangeable USB-C cable & Jack 3.5mm output
Shanling's UA1 Plus DAC and headphone amplifier comes with a USB-C male to USB-C male cable. The UA1 Plus is therefore particularly suitable for use with a smartphone or laptop with limited audio capacity. Its Jack 3.5mm output makes it compatible with most headphones and earphones on the market.
Perfectly optimised for on-the-go use, the circuit is designed to maximise the power available for the amplified output while limiting the load on the source device's battery. It's a solution for extended listening sessions, even on devices with limited battery power.
A handy DAC and headphone amplifier
Weighing just 9.5g, the UA1 Plus is easy to carry. It also incorporates a side button for controlling the Play/Pause and volume functions, as well as an RGB LED indicating the sampling rate of the file currently being played:
- Blue: up to 16bit 44.1kHz
- Green: up to 96kHz
- White: DSD
- Red: UAC 1.0 mode
What's more, the UA1 Plus can be customised using the free Eddict Player mobile application. This allows you to make adjustments with different filters, gain levels and volume settings.
