An exceptional Double Mono Amplifier ...
Once again Audio-GD made a new technological masterpiece in the field of audio amplifiers. This double mono amplifier has a particularly well designed architecture and a formidable power reserve while compromising nothing on audio precision rendering.
The famous brand once again takes its formidable HE-2-type output stage with this time a pure class A integration from end to end. This circuit renews ingenuity in its most accomplished form with extraordinary performances and deep, detailed sound. Each of the two mono blocks is able to develop up to 300W under 4 Ohm which is more than enough to sonorize a vast listening room.
Each product of the brand is scrupulously tested from all angles with one of the most efficient systems in the world: the Audio Analyzers 2700 Series from Audio Precision.
A clean and efficient connection
The MASTER-2A by Audio GD is made up of 2 separate blocks, and has a total of 4 analog inputs: 2x XLR and 2x ACSS. The outputs are of course on 2 speaker terminals and require nothing more than connecting your speakers for the whole installation to be ready.
The result is simple: great musicality, thanks to exceptional dynamics and a rich sound that is extremely detailed in all respects.
The button on the back cover immediately switches from the XLR input to the ACSS input and allows the user to select the source directly from the device.
A formidable HiFi device
Class A Symmetrical / R-Core / ACSS / Double mono
This MASTER-2A is equipped with no less than 4 transformers including 2 R-Core for a total of 1800W, 260.000uF very high-end Nover capacitors, and 80 very high performance MJL1302 / 3281 transistors for the output stage .
This amplifier is also designed around a pure Class A discrete balanced input and gain stage, with separate Class A power supply for the left and right channels and no capacitors or AOPs on the signal path.
The output transistors work with a large quiescent current. The "Diamond Cross" output stage avoids crossover distortions while benefiting from all the qualities and inimitable audio rendering of the class A.
Audiophile grade components, including DALE resistors, WIMA capacitors, and NOVER electrolytics.
Pure class A power Amplifier
Class A has the particularity of having its active components always in conduction. The quiescent current remains higher than the output current, thus limiting the harmonic distortion. The signal coming out of the Master 2A is therefore of superior quality, due to the absence of this famous crossing distortion in sinusoids alternations.
ACSS Technologie
Audio-GD has its own technological signature, called ACSS for "Audio-GD Current Signal System".
This technology allows a simpler and more direct input stage, reducing distortion.
Thanks to the expertise and know-how of the firm, this technology offers a less colorful sound, more detailed, and unparalleled neutrality.
DC offset filter
In the event of instability on the electrical network, the supply voltage may vary and cause vibrations of the toroidal transformers. This can drastically degrade the audio performance of an amplifier with such a power stage. To counteract this phenomenon, your Master 2A amplifier is equipped with a DC input filter capable of absorbing up to 1.2V of these voltage variations and effectively suppressing any disturbance originating from the electrical grid.
