The Audiophonics HPA-S600NCX stereo power amplifier, an updated and improved version of the HPA-S600NC, is now equipped with Hypex NCore NCx500 amplifier modules. These provide twice the performance in terms of distortion and output impedance than the previous model. Like its predecessor, this amplifier is designed for power and precision, with a large energy reserve and a clear and transparent sound reproduction.

Embedding a pair of Hypex NCore NCx500 modules, this Class D amplifier benefits from a HYPEX high efficiency power supply unit with synchronous regulation.

Like most amplifiers based on NCore architectures, the frequency response remains independent of the load and electromagnetic interference is rigorously controlled, thus greatly limiting the level of distortion and noise.

The HPA-S600NCX will thus be particularly appreciated in all conditions requiring an important power of amplification while preserving a great neutrality in the restitution of the signal. It will find its place as well in a professional studio as in the home of a private individual within a high-fidelity audio system.

Audiophonics interface board

The 2 modules are controlled in phase opposition, to cancel the "Power-Supply Pumping" effect. This makes the power supply more stable, distributing the current draw alternately on each rail, thereby increasing its capacity.

We opted for 2-level voltage regulation, to optimise the power supply to the AOPs and the auxiliary voltage supplied to the modules.

One Texas Instrument LM4562 PDU is used per channel. These are very low distortion PDUs offering the greatest transparency with very low THD. They are mounted on a DIP8 socket, allowing them to be replaced if necessary.

To suit all uses, we have opted for 3 gain settings, selectable by jumper on the interface board.
