Audiophonics MPA-S75NC RCA
Power amplifier NCORE 2x75W 8Ω Black
An amplifier with solid performance
The Audiophonics MPA-S75NC incorporates a Hypex Ncore NC122MP power amplifier module.
This is a solid base to build a powerful stereo HiFi system, capable of delivering 2x75W under 8Ω.
On a single double-sided PCB it is composed of a low power supply for standby, a high-performance switching power supply but above all an extremely efficient Class D amplifier circuit.
The amplifier used on this NC122MP module offers a high efficiency of 92% and allows it to be used for very different uses, whether for studio use or to be integrated into a high fidelity audio system.
The distinctive characteristics of this amplifier are its linear frequency response whatever the load impedance and consequently its accurate restitution, its very low distortion but also its very low EMI radiation rate.
The control of the amplifier is based on a self-oscillating loop with phase shift, taking into account the feedback only at the output of the loudspeaker, always with sound transparency in mind.
The main SMPS power supply to the amplifier is a regulated, high power, high efficiency half bridge converter with synchronous rectification on the main output rails. An ideal power supply to provide this Class D amplifier with the power it needs.
In order to be compatible with supply voltages of 100-120V and 200-240V, it is equipped with an automatic input voltage doubler.
POINTS CLÉS :
- High efficiency
- Load-independent flat frequency response
- Low output impedance
- Frequency-independant ultra low distorsion
- Very low noise
NCore amplifiers are the first Class D amplifiers to approach the performance of operational amplifiers, but also to surpass them in terms of sound reproduction quality.
Thus, they are able to deliver a clear, rich and musical sound while remaining compact.
This NCore technology combines the stability of Hypex UcD series amplifiers with lower distortion and output impedance.
100% Aluminium Housing
We integrate this Hypex NCore NC122MP amplifier in a 100% black brushed aluminum housing.
This case offers an elegant finish, the thick walls give it a great resistance, allowing it to protect components properly.
The natural conduction of aluminium, together with a studied air flow, allows the heat produced by the module to be dissipated.
In addition, the case is screen printed on the front with the NCore logo and on the back with the nomenclature of each input/output.
Its very compact format with a small width reduces space to a minimum, thus offering high performance in a small space.
This amplifier is DC pass-through , there are no decoupling capacitors at the input.
Be sure that your source is DC free before use.
The DC protection triggers at 12V DC, which is a quite high value.
In addition to the usual connection system, there is a trigger input on the rear panel.
This 3.5mm jack input allows the module to be switched on with a DC voltage signal from 5 to 12V to synchronize it with a preamp having this type of output.
It is also possible to chain 2 amplifiers, and to switch on both simultaneously by controlling only one, the input being transformed into an output if the power button of one of the amplifiers is pressed.
Also present on the front is a diode relaying the status of the module, lighting up if a DC voltage is detected at the output.
