Excellent timbre, seductive musicality and perfect MQA functionality.
Excellent DAC with a resounding quality/price ratio. You can also argue about the tonal and musical performance, but whoever shuts it down by declaring that it is not up to the declared things has....... few ideas and even confused and MQA coding has understood very little!

Not an MQA decoder! just a renderer
iFi should clearly declare in the ZEN dac specs that it is only an MQA renderer, not a decoder, thus it will not be able to perform MQA unfolding if you don’t use a software to perform the first unfolding (like Tidal app, Audirvana, …).
It is very disappointing this kind of misleading information by iFi.
