A fantastic amplifier for lightly driven speakers. Was thinking of buying a musical fidelity a1, but have not regretted the vmv a1. Nice volume control. It makes my vintage Beovox 1100, Beovox 2200 play like never before. Likewise my Zu Audio Cube mk ii. Can't wait to get my Lowther Bicor 1000 assembled for Christmas so they will perform like never before. But it's only for really lightly driven speakers, but really makes them sound beyond great. Works great with my Rel t5x subwoofers.

Hello, this amplifier is a very nice piece with a fascinating sound that is full of detail, variety of tone and mood, it exceeded my expectations, I like to listen to music at a lower volume but with full details and this amplifier above all fulfills this, it covers the whole spectrum of sound from dense bass tones up to the perceptibly tinkling highs. I am very satisfied, I really recommend this thing

Tant sur le plan musical, esthétique et encombrement !
Le laisser chauffer et une fois atteint une trentaine de C° (sympa ce thermomètre embarqué), ça fait vraiment de la belle musique.
Là où beaucoup d'ampli à transistors pêchent par leurs qualités de leurs aigus (je suis un habitué des bons montages à tubes depuis un moment déjà), cet A1 s'en sort plutôt très bien.
Son seul vrai défaut (annoncé toutefois) est sa relative incapacité à remuer des HP aux masses mobiles moyennement lourdes.
Des biblio en membranes papier et équipage mobiles légers (il en existe à 3.000€ bien entendu) et vous aurez très certainement un compromis musical de haute volée. Autrement dit, pas besoin d'investir de grosses sommes en amplification pour des biblio mêmes très qualitatives (ici, des Pascal Louvet EloquenSe si Audiophonics m'autorise un petit coup de promo ;+)

Very enjoyable amplifier
Not a joke. I bought this because of good reviews and because I have efficient speakers. Sort of an experiment. I owned many amps in the past, some costing ten or even twenty times more. But this thing is a precious little amp. I am using it with an external preamp, so keep that in mind. The temperature does not exceed 43 degrees. In my system, this really is a winner.
