Aune offers with its BU2 an excellent headphone amplifier and portable DAC combo, benefiting from a beautiful design quality, with notably the use of two ES9318 DACs, a Bluetooth 5.0 chip or a R2R volume controller. This set ensures a sound restitution of a great precision and richness. Moreover, it benefits from a double output, with single-ended 3.5mm jack but also balanced 2.5mm jack.
Conversion & Amplification
The conversion stage of the Aune BU2 is based on a duo of ESS ES9318 digital/analog converters mounted in parallel for a precise and clear sound reproduction. The amplification stage embeds four independent headphone amplifiers. In addition, a low ripple positive/negative power supply is used to power all the circuits in an efficient way.
Bluetooth HD
The Aune BU2 features next-generation Bluetooth 5.0, including support for the high-definition transmission codecs aptX and aptX HD. This makes it possible to easily stream music to the BU2 via a smartphone and computer, but also to connect the BU2 to headphones or Bluetooth headphones.
USB connection
The BU2 also has a USB-C input. This one allows to enjoy files in very high resolution, up to PCM 32bit 768kHz andDSD512 for a sound restitution of an incredible quality.
Clock synchronization
The Aune BU2 uses two ultra low jitter clocks 45M and 49M, directly synchronized with the decoding chips, via the USB interface. These ensure a natural and transparent sound.
A single control button
Intuitive and easy to use, the Aune BU2 uses a rotary encoder for quick access to all parameters and controls.
R2R volume control
The BU2 adopts a dynamic volume control technology, consisting of an electronic switch and R2R resistors. These resistors allow to attenuate the volume level in a precise way, while maintaining an excellent SNR and a very good dynamic.
