The IVSTD module at Ian Canada is one of the rare balanced and unbalanced output modules that can be used in a pure DIY approach.

It is designed to immediately adapt to Ian Canada's Raspberry Pi-based digital to analog conversion solutions (such as ES9038Q2M & ES9038Q2M Dual Mono).

Moreover, the IVSTD output module is constructed so as to fit a wide range of construction / development projects. It is not exclusive to the world of RPI & SBC.

Balanced and unbalanced analog audio output


The module has an unbalanced output on stereo RCA connector and a balanced output slot for XLR stereo connectors.

Please note, XLR connectors are not supplied with the kit : tose use the balanced output, you have to order and mount them yourself on the PCB.

When combined to a compatible DAC, the conveter / output stage becomes a powerful whole that can attack a wide range of preamplifiers (or integrated amplifiers). Balanced and unbalanced outputs enables it to join advanced Hi-Fi installations as well as smaller or more exotic audio systems.

Finally, the card has a high-level headphone output on 3.5mm stereo jack. To avoid noise polution, the headphone circuit is independent from the left and right lines of balanced and unbalanced audio outputs.

Three removable operational amplifiers


The card uses three operational amplifiers mounted on DIP-8 support. Audiophiles can change them on the fly to find the sound signature that best matches the overall flavor of their audio equipment.

On reception, three JRC 2114D are mounted on the board. This model is a high performance & low noise stereo OPA. It may be replaced by any models supporting + 12 / -12 VDC voltage.

Two of these OPA are used for driving the left and right channels of the balanced and unbalanced outputs. The third component is in charge of controlling the headphone output.

Bon produit
Ne réponds toujours pas non plus à mon besoin mais ce module est bien conçu et de très bonne qualité/performance. Seul le signal Asymétrique est recomposé via l'inversion du point froid.
