The Raspberry Pi 4 Model B is the latest product in the SBC Raspberry Pi range. It offers an unprecedented increase in processor power, multimedia performance, memory and improved connectivity. However, it maintains compatibility with previous versions and similar power consumption.
The key features of this Raspberry pi 4 are its Quad Core 64bit processor, dual display support up to 4K, hardware video decoding up to 4Kp60, LPDDR4 RAM, 2.4/5.0GHz wireless network, Bluetooth 5.0, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0 or PoE (via a PoE HAT module sold separately for this last feature).
For the design of the Raspberry Pi 4, feedback and remarks from users have been taken into account. Thus, the SBC's increased power and its two Micro HDMI outputs allow two monitors with resolutions up to 4K to be connected.
The speed and performance of the Raspberry Pi 4 have jumped forward, compared to previous generations' models. For the first time, SBC offers a real desktop experience. Whether you use it as a media server, audio player, programming tool or even to browse the Internet with many open tabs, navigation will remain smooth for an unprecedented user experience for this type of device.
Silent, energy-efficient
As with previous versions, the Raspberry Pi 4 does not include a fan, allowing it to operate silently while limiting its energy consumption.
Fast networking
The Raspberry Pi 4 features Gigabit Ethernet connectivity (on RJ45 port) for fast network connection as well as a WiFi chip and a Bluetooth chip.
USB 3
USB performance has been improved on the Raspberry Pi 4. Of the 4 available USB-A ports, 2 are now in USB 3.0 version, for higher transmission rates.
