The Dayton Audio 2-way crossover series was designed using a second order Linkwitz-Riley alignment (12db/octave). Dayton Audio metallized polyester film capacitors are used in the high and low pass sections. 18AWG section inductors were used to minimize DC resistance. A unique design feature of the low-pass section allows the use of 4 or 8Ω woofers, ideal for 2-way system design. The cutoff frequency of the high-pass filter is rated for an 8Ω load. All components are bonded or fixed to eliminate hum and vibration. The high quality blue PCB uses a backplate for rigidity and grommets for easy mounting. The power rating of this crossover is 300W.
