Holo Audio unveils with the RED a high-end network player and digital interface. Behind its robust appearance lies a powerful and versatile device, capable of transforming a classic audio system into a true connected hub.
This one is based on a Pi 4 computing module, a version modified by Holo Audio from a standard Raspberry Pi and optimized for audio integration. However, it retains the versatility of a standard Raspberry Pi 4 and thus offers a wide range of features.
Once connected to your network via its RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet input, the RED can, via a web interface, access many streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer, Qobuz, Tidal or web radio. It is also compatible with a long list of network protocols such as AirPlay 2, UPnP, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Squeezelite, or NAA HQPlayer.
For its connectivity, the Holo Audio RED provides input RJ45 Ethernet, USB-B and a Micro SD port. For the outputs, we can count on I2S via HDMI, AES/EBU, coaxial RCA and BNC, optical and a USB-A port.
All the components of the RED are integrated in a solid housing CNC machined from a single block of aluminum.
