What is Bit-Perfect?

Bit-perfect is a term commonly used in audio. It is used to describe a player that can play a file without making any changes of any kind.

For example, if your player plays a 24bit/192kHz Hi-Res file on Qobuz, the digital output will propose 24bit/192kHz. Just like if the music file played is a 16Bit/44.1kHz, the digital output will propose 16Bit/44.1kHz, without any modification. A real 1:1 ratio (Input / Output).

This is what we call a real Bit-Perfect reading, as close as possible to the musical reality of the piece played.

AirPlay 2, DLNA and Chromecast

The WiiM Pro supports the Apple AirPlay2 wireless transmission protocol, allowing you to not only easily stream your music from an Apple device, but also stream your music to multiple audio devices at once.

It also supports the DLNA protocol and integrates a Chromecast, allowing a wireless distribution of its music from the vast majority of connected devices.

Multiroom

The WiiM Pro's built-in multiroom feature allows you to stream your music throughout your home in 3 different modes. If you are using an Apple product, you can use Airplay 2 to set up your multiroom system. If you are using an Amazon product, you can use AVS Multiroom technology. Finally, WiiM also provides an application to easily control your multiroom installation from your smartphone.

Works with your voice assistant

The WiiM Pro is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Google Voice. This means you can easily control your network player via your voice assistant. Voice control can be done from your smartphone or from a HomePod, Amazon Echo or Google Home device (not included).

Multiple audio sources

The WiiM Pro is compatible with many streaming services and web radios, such as Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music and TuneIn. You can enjoy your favorite music services and stream them wirelessly to your audio system. And if you want to connect other audio devices to your WiiM Pro, it has a stereo RCA input and a Toslink optical input.

Burr Brown PCM5121 DAC

The digital/analog conversion stage of the WiiM Pro uses a PCM5121 DAC chip from Burr Brown. This one supports high resolution streams up to PCM 32bit 384kHz and offers very good sound performances with notably a SNR measured at 106dB.

La (quasi) perfection à petit prix
Je suis un vieil audiophile dont la "chaîne hifi" ne comportait qu'un lecteur CD et un DAC Audiphonics associé.
M Aubert d'Audiophonics m'a parfaitement guidé dans les méandres de la musique dématérialisée, incluant son conseil pour la mise en place d'un CPLwifi dans la dépendance où ma pièce d'écoute dédiée est installée
Depuis, ce petit et mignon streamer WIIM PRO relié à mon préampli par le cordon fibre optique fourni et un abonnement Qobus studio enchantent mes oreilles, avec une qualité d'écoute extraordinaire.

Incroyable ce "petit truc"
Acheté pour remplacer un Streamer ALLO Signature qui ne répond plus.
J'ai alimenté le WIIM Pro avec une alim linéaire Shanti et il part en coaxial dans un FDA QULOOS QA 690. ( je n'ai pas testé le DAC interne au WIIM Pro )
Paramétré en moins de 5 min avec QOBUZ en natif dans le WIIM (fini les prises de tête Linux du ALLO pour un non-initié)
Résultat : même qualité sonore qu'avec le Allo Signature qui tournait sous Volumio.
Après test : l'alimentation linéaire est indispensable pour optimiser le son.
Je n'en reviens pas qu'un tel "petit truc" de moins de 200€, hyper facile à installer, puisse être aussi efficace.

Utilisé pour streamer Qobuz et Tidal en high res vers un DAC externe, le Wiim pro me donne entière satisfaction, facile à configurer et à utiliser grâce à l’appli Wiim. Plus la possibilité d’utiliser directement l’appli Tidal en Tidal Connect ou Spotify connect.
Excellent rapport qualité prix pour mon utilisation avec un DAC externe! Ravi de l’achat

très bon appareil, interface avec l'écosysteme Apple a revoir
Je rejoins en partie l'avis de JakubM. Je suis aussi Client à la pomme (qui n'est qu'un linux en robe de mariée). Il faut savoir que Apple bloque la lecture des playlists qu'on dans itunes via l'appli Wiim: on ne peut pas charger sa propre musique ni la lire sur un iphone, sauf a passer par Airplay, auquel cas l'appli wiim est inutile. Des ruptures de réseau wifi aussi, totalement inexplicables .Sinon le son est vraiment super (je sortais d'une airport express dépassée), et malgré ces désagréments, je ne regrette pas mon achat. Et c'est compatible avec le système Arylic en multiroom, les connexion sont pratiques et nombreuses. Que demande le peuple? (ampli sansui vintage AU222 +triangle Zays)

Véritable couteau suisse du streaming. Installation simple, appli fluide et efficace. Je peux caster Amazon music en qualité optimale directement en Wifi. La connectique est complète. Des performances étonnantes et une sonorité claire et aérée sur mon ampli NAD et mes enceintes Boston.
