What is Bit-Perfect?

Bit-perfect is a term commonly used in audio. It is used to describe a player that can play a file without making any changes of any kind.

For example, if your player plays a 24bit/192kHz Hi-Res file on Qobuz, the digital output will propose 24bit/192kHz. Just like if the music file played is a 16Bit/44.1kHz, the digital output will propose 16Bit/44.1kHz, without any modification. A real 1:1 ratio (Input / Output).

This is what we call a real Bit-Perfect reading, as close as possible to the musical reality of the piece played.

AirPlay 2, DLNA and Chromecast

The WiiM Pro supports the Apple AirPlay2 wireless transmission protocol, allowing you to not only easily stream your music from an Apple device, but also stream your music to multiple audio devices at once.

It also supports the DLNA protocol and integrates a Chromecast, allowing a wireless distribution of its music from the vast majority of connected devices.

Multiroom

The WiiM Pro's built-in multiroom feature allows you to stream your music throughout your home in 3 different modes. If you are using an Apple product, you can use Airplay 2 to set up your multiroom system. If you are using an Amazon product, you can use AVS Multiroom technology. Finally, WiiM also provides an application to easily control your multiroom installation from your smartphone.

Multiple audio sources

The WiiM Pro is compatible with many streaming services and web radios, such as Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music and TuneIn. You can enjoy your favorite music services and stream them wirelessly to your audio system. And if you want to connect other audio devices to your WiiM Pro, it has a stereo RCA input and a Toslink optical input.

Incroyable ce "petit truc"
Acheté pour remplacer un Streamer ALLO Signature qui ne répond plus.
J'ai alimenté le WIIM Pro avec une alim linéaire Shanti et il part en coaxial dans un FDA QULOOS QA 690. ( je n'ai pas testé le DAC interne au WIIM Pro )
Paramétré en moins de 5 min avec QOBUZ en natif dans le WIIM (fini les prises de tête Linux du ALLO pour un non-initié)
Résultat : même qualité sonore qu'avec le Allo Signature qui tournait sous Volumio.
Après test : l'alimentation linéaire est indispensable pour optimiser le son.
Je n'en reviens pas qu'un tel "petit truc" de moins de 200€, hyper facile à installer, puisse être aussi efficace.
