At the heart of the GT4 NCF lies an NCF connector sleeve. Featuring a multi-material hybrid construction, this innovative sleeve utilises Furutech’s special NCF (Nano Crystal² Formula) crystalline material, which has two ‘active’ properties: firstly, it eliminates static electricity by generating negative ions, and secondly, it converts thermal energy into far-infrared radiation. Furutech enhances this material with nanometric ceramic particles and carbon powder, utilising their piezoelectric damping properties.

Precision-engineered, the GT4 NCF USB-C features silver-plated OCC α (Alpha) copper conductors and high-density polyethylene insulation for optimal signal transmission. Its triple shielding and 24K gold-plated USB connectors minimise electromagnetic interference and provide reliable protection against oxidation.

Furutech GT4 NCF: Alpha α treatment

The conductors used in the GT4 NCF cable undergo a two-stage Alpha cryogenisation and demagnetisation process. First, the conductors are subjected to deep cryogenic freezing using high-grade refrigerants such as liquid nitrogen or helium. Once temperatures between -196 and -250°C have been reached, the conductors are subjected to internal stress, tightening the molecules that make them up into closer bonds, resulting in a more stable overall structure and improved conductivity. In the second stage, the conductors are exposed to a demagnetisation treatment using a ring patented by the brand.
