The Dayton Audio DS135-8 is a 12.7 cm (5") woofer designed for compact speakers seeking accurate reproduction and refined aesthetic integration. Its treated paper cone, combined with a rubber surround, ensures durable and consistent excursion, while the progressive response curve facilitates the use of standard passive crossovers.
Its low-profile basket allows front mounting without rebating, thus simplifying the enclosure construction. The vent in the rear pole piece limits thermal compression and improves reliability during sustained use; its linear excursion also allows a moderate bass correction to be applied in order to adapt the response to a given enclosure volume.
