DAYTON AUDIO PA310-8 Speaker Driver Woofer

The DAYTON AUDIO PA310-8 is a professional 12" (30.5cm) woofer designed for PA speakers, musical instrument systems, and DIY projects. Capable of handling 450W RMS and up to 900W maximum power, it features an 8Ω impedance, a sensitivity of 96.1dB (2.83 V/1m), and a frequency response of 44Hz to 4kHz, delivering powerful and dynamic bass reproduction. Its design combines a lightweight and rigid paper diaphragm reinforced with carbon fiber, a cloth surround, and a 1.2mm steel frame with a rolled I-beam edge. Its low-distortion motor incorporates a copper cap and a powerful 80 oz ceramic ferrite magnet, while the pole piece and voice coil gap are vented to improve heat dissipation. The 3" voice coil, mounted on a Kapton®/polyimide former, along with the raised back plate, provides high excursion and improved power handling. With its 5mm linear Xmax, the PA310-8 is particularly well suited to subwoofers and PA speakers requiring high output, punchy bass, low distortion, and durability.
