The Dayton Audio PA460-8 is a professional woofer 45.72cm (18") designed for instrument cabinets, sound reinforcement systems and custom builds, where its 500W RMS and 1000W peak power handling allows it to deliver deep, dynamic bass. Its carbon fiber-impregnated paper cone combines rigidity and low mass, while the low-distortion motor, equipped with a copper shorting ring and an 80 oz ceramic ferrite magnet, ensures precise cone control.

The 1.5mm rolled I-profile steel basket reinforces the mechanical stability, while the vented magnetic circuit, the vented gap, the polyimide voice coil former and the bumped back plate promote heat dissipation and allow unobstructed excursion. With a frequency response of 26 to 2,000 Hz, an impedance of 8 Ω and a sensitivity of 97.8dB at 2.83V / 1m, it fits into configurations requiring high sound levels, consistent response and good endurance under intensive use.
