The Dayton Audio SAB-1060 is a multichannel amplifier module Class D designed for managing distributed audio systems or haptic feedback, relying on a 10-channel architecture capable of delivering up to 10x60W into 4Ω. It integrates a 7.1 USB DAC allowing direct conversion of digital streams into amplified signals, thus ensuring native correspondence between software channels and physical outputs without intermediate processing.
Designed for multi-way configurations and software-driven installations, it combines independent amplification, multichannel USB interface and analog inputs, allowing precise distribution and control of signals across multiple transducers. This approach allows it to play a central role in systems such as simulators or immersive installations, while maintaining signal stability and consistent reproduction across all channels.
The SAB-1060 is based on a 10-channel Class D amplification, capable of delivering up to 10x60W into 4Ω, allowing simultaneous powering of multiple transducers with consistent power reserve on each output. This independent distribution ensures identical behavior from one channel to another, without internal prioritization, each channel being accessible via a clearly identified pair of outputs on the wiring harness.
The 7.3 channel configuration groups the three subwoofer outputs on the same signal, while maintaining separate amplification for each. This allows bass distribution across multiple physical zones without requiring external signal splitting, the three outputs receiving strictly the same content while being able to drive distinct transducers.

The integration of a 7.1 multichannel USB DAC allows native recognition as an audio device, ensuring direct correspondence between software channels and physical outputs. The audio stream is supported up to 24bits 96kHz, allowing preservation of signal resolution across all channels, the USB-C connection ensuring direct transport of the 8 audio channels to the module.
The module features a signal-to-noise ratio of 98dB and a THD+N distortion of 0.03%, which maintains a stable signal in a multichannel usage context. This architecture does not rely on any onboard digital processing, leaving routing, filtering and frequency management at the software level, allowing fine adjustment via multichannel-compatible solutions such as SimHub depending on application needs, all outputs remaining configurable only via the host software.

The module integrates four analog inputs in 3.5mm jack format, allowing injection of external signals on different channels, in addition to the USB interface. Input source selection is performed at the board level, allowing switching between USB signal and analog signal, without modification of the output path once the source is selected. This organization allows adapting the usage mode without modifying the output structure, while maintaining direct correspondence with the amplification channels.

The module accepts a power supply between 15V and 30V DC, allowing full use of amplification capacity across all channels while maintaining stable operation under load, thermal dissipation being complemented by a dedicated output for powering a fan in order to maintain operating conditions during prolonged use.
The output distribution is carried out via two 14-pin connectors, each connector grouping several channels accessible via the supplied harness, while power uses a 4-pin Molex Mini-Fit connector, facilitating integration into multi-transducer systems. This approach allows direct implementation in environments such as simulators or arcade systems, with flexible output assignment according to the software configuration.
