The HIFIMAN HE6 Remastered is an open-back circumaural Hi-Fi headphone with planar magnetic drivers. This version uses the historic HE6 planar driver, while evolving its structure with a new lightweight alloy headband designed to improve ergonomics. It covers a frequency response from 8Hz to 65kHz, with an impedance of 50Ω, a sensitivity of 83.5dB and a headphone connection via 3.5mm jack.
Intended for sedentary listening, it requires a headphone amplifier capable of delivering a level of power suited to its sensitivity. Its open-back design and planar driver favor a detailed reproduction, fast transients and an airy soundstage.
HiFiMan HE6 Remastered: Architecture and sound reproduction
The HE6 Remastered uses a planar magnetic driver derived from the architecture of the original HE6. Its ultra-thin diaphragm integrates fine conductive traces, which reduces the moving mass and allows a fast response to signal variations, while limiting distortion. The open-back design favors an airy soundstage, while the frequency response extends from 8Hz to 65kHz. With an impedance of 50Ω and a sensitivity of 83.5dB, the headphone requires an amplifier capable of delivering a suitable level of power.
HiFiMan HE6 Remastered: Product structure and interface
The HE6 Remastered adopts an open-back circumaural construction, with rear cups protected by grilles. Its lightweight alloy headband integrates swiveling hinges, while the enveloping ear pads are replaceable. The headphone connection is made via a 3.5mm jack. The whole design is dedicated to sedentary listening, with an open-back design and an interface compatible with a suitable headphone amplifier.
