The electrostatic loudspeaker is a simple concept, but difficult to implement successfully in practice.
The operation is based on the electrostatic attraction of the sameso that a piece of paper is attracted by a friction balloon.
The ultra-thin membrane, electrically charged, is stretched and placed between two metal grids.
When a high voltage audio signal is applied to the metal grids, the diaphragm moves to the grid in response to the signal.
