FiiO UTWS17 Bluetooth 6.0 Receiver for MMCX and CIEM 0.78mm 2 Pins Earphones
The FiiO UTWS17 is an ear-hook Bluetooth receiver that turns compatible wired earphones into a wireless listening system. Its dedicated AK4333 DACs and Qualcomm QCC5181 chip support several high-resolution codecs, while interchangeable adapters allow the use of MMCX or 0.78mm 2-pin connectors.
Intended for users who wish to keep their earphones, it combines app-based settings, call management and case charging. This design lets you enjoy your earphones on the go, with a stated battery life of up to 7 hours per charge and 20 hours with the case.
FiiO UTWS17: A dedicated audio architecture
Each ear hook integrates an independent DAC/amplifier, with one AK4333 DAC per channel, while the Qualcomm QCC5181 Bluetooth chip handles wireless processing. This architecture combines decoding and amplification functions in a compact format, letting you keep using your earphones while freeing listening from the cable. Codec support notably includes aptX Lossless, LDAC, LHDC V5 up to 192kHz 24bits and aptX Adaptive up to 96kHz 24bits, depending on source device compatibility.
FiiO UTWS17: Calls and listening on the go
For communications, each ear hook pairs two microphones with CVC processing designed to reduce ambient noise and improve voice pickup. The aptX Adaptive game mode reduces stated latency to as low as 74.6 ms, for better synchronization of sound with picture. The 8 g ear hooks feature an ergonomic shape and a food-grade nano coating designed for skin contact, while internal silver-plated monocrystalline copper wiring carries the signal to the earphones.
FiiO UTWS17: Settings and battery management
The FiiO Control app allows adjustment of parametric equalization, channel balance and multipoint connection, as well as switching between HiFi and Game modes. It also supports sharing and managing equalization profiles. Stated battery life reaches 7 hours per charge and 20 hours with the case; the case supports wireless charging and displays status information on its dot-matrix OLED screen, including pairing and battery level. Automatic power-on when removed from the case and automatic shutdown when placed back simplify daily use.
