Viablue EPC-2: Conductor Architecture and signal stability

The design, which features three separate EPC-2 cables, organizes the transmission of the signal and ground currents, thereby minimizing internal interactions while ensuring uniform conduction along the entire length of the cable. This design utilizes tin-plated OFC copper conductors, whose cross-sectional area contributes to the stability of the signal transfer, particularly with regard to low-level variations originating from the turntable.

The 60pF/m capacitance on the conductor side, supplemented by 130pF/m for the shielding, directly controls the interaction with the preamplifier’s input, preventing excessive loading that could degrade the high-frequency response. This approach is extended by a double shielding system combining a conductive spiral and an silver-plated ALU-PET foil, maintaining continuous protection against interference, while the dedicated ground wire ensures the dissipation of stray currents without interacting with the audio signal. Together, these features preserve signal integrity in sensitive phono setups.
