The Aiyima DAC-A7 is a DAC with a built-in headphone amplifier based on a hybrid architecture combining the ESS ES9038Q2M and TPA6120A2 chips, designed to handle digital-to-analog conversion and directly power headphones across a wide impedance range of 16 to 600Ω. It delivers up to 1500mW into 32Ω, providing sufficient headroom for demanding drivers, while the integration of a 24bit 192kHz conversion stage ensures faithful reproduction from both wired and wireless sources.
Designed for versatile stationary use, it combines Bluetooth 5.4 reception via the Qualcomm QCC3084 chip with extensive digital connectivity, allowing you to centralize diverse sources while maintaining stable transmission up to 24bit 96kHz via LDAC or aptX HD. This approach is extended by a preamplifier mode that allows a direct connection to a power amplifier or active speakers, while circuit isolation and simplified management of headphone/line outputs ensure seamless operation without hardware reconfiguration, positioning the device as a control and conversion interface at the heart of a compact audio system.

Thanks to its Qualcomm QCC3084 Bluetooth 5.4 chip, the Aiyima DAC-A7 supports standard and high-definition Bluetooth codecs—including SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC enabling the DAC-A7 to function as a Bluetooth gateway that delivers reliable and stable wireless transmission at up to 24 bit 96kHz.
Aiyima DAC-A7: High-Performance Headphone Amplifier
The Aiyima DAC-A7 features two 3.5mm and 6.35mm headphone jacks designed for 16-600Ω compatibility, allowing for use with a wide variety of headphones, supported by an output power of 1500mW at 32Ω. The integration of audiophile-grade chips, such as the ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chip and the TPA6120A2 amplifier, allows headphones to be driven to their full potential and enables the use of two headphones simultaneously.
Aiyima DAC-A7: Interface and Features
To minimize interference, the DAC-A7 features audio sections and circuits that are isolated from one another. It is equipped with a button that allows you to switch between headphones output and line output. A front-panel rotary knob turns the DAC-A7 on and changes the input mode with a single press, while turning it adjusts the volume. Volume settings and active modes are automatically saved.
In addition, the DAC-A7 features a preamp mode that allows for direct connection to a power amplifier or an active speaker without the need for a separate preamp. The USB-C wired connection is compatible with most operating systems, including Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. To ensure compatibility with gaming consoles, it also features UAC 1.0 mode.
