FERRUM WANDLA
DAC ES9038PRO Balanced I2S HDMI ARC 32bit 768kHz DSD256 MQA
Ferrum offers with its WANDLA a versatile and extremely efficient DAC, capable of very high quality digital/analog conversion for the most precise and faithful sound reproduction.
ES9038Pro
At the heart of this WANDLA, a digital/analog conversion stage using an ESS ES9038Pro chip, recognized for its incredible performance and its ability to provide precise and transparent particular sound reproduction. The chip here has an independent power supply allowing it to reveal its full potential.
SERCE
Regarding the digital audio system module, the optimized ARM chip offers the shortest possible signal path, which makes 5 chips redundant. Includes MQA decoder/renderer and a selection of digital filters.
WANDLA offers three ESS digital filters and two digital filters created for Ferrum by renowned filter manufacturer HQ Player.
I/V conversion and proprietary amplification system
The Wandla embeds an I/V converter. These offer excellent measurements with an extremely low level of distortion and noise.
In addition, it has a fully balanced, precision-tuned modified preamplifier IC.
Optimized digital inputs and a balanced signal
The Wandla has many entrances; Specially programmed USB, coaxial and optical S/PDIF ports, HDMI ARC (TV) and I2S optimized for audio. In addition, the balanced design ensures clean sound on the stereo RCA output and a truly balanced stereo XRL output.
Ferrum Power Link Technique (FPL)
Unique design of an FPL power socket: two wires providing power and two wires providing feedback to ensure flat voltage at all times. This eliminates the adverse effects of cable resistance by effectively improving transient response. The speed of current delivery to the input of the powered device is significantly improved.
Designed for HYPSOS
WANDLA comes with a carefully selected DC power adapter. However, to get the most out of WANDLA, you can connect it to HYPSOS using the proprietary Ferrum Power Link DC power cable (not included).
MQA
MQA (for Master Quality Authenticated) is an award-winning British technology for restoring the sound of the original recording. The MQA Master file is authenticated by the artists, producers or rights holders. These files are small enough to be streamed or downloaded. The Wandla includes an MQA decoder to play these files in order to offer the best possible audio quality.
