DAC 2x AK4493S Headphone Amplifier THX AAA-788+ 32bit 384kHz DSD256
FiiO's K7 is a high performance desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier combo, demonstrating an exemplary design for an audio reproduction marked by great transparency, richness and precision.
High-end balanced amplification
The K7 uses the same THX AAA 788+ amplifier as the K9 Pro. It is capable of outputting up to 560mW at 300Ω for only 1% distortion and up to 2000mW at 32Ω for only 1% distortion.
Dual DAC
Each channel is equipped with its own DAC chip AK4493SEQ producing a rich and delicate sound with a pleasant timbre.
Advanced decoding capabilities
The XMOS XUF208 chip uses a dual clock management system to handle a multitude of different audio formats.
A real personality
The K7's massive, beautifully integrated metal knob on the front panel provides comfortable control of the volume level. The circular LED indicator surrounding this volume knob lights up in different colors depending on the sample rate of the file being played, while complementing the sobriety of the case with a touch of color.
- Blue light : 48kHz and below
- Yellow light : Above 48kHz
- Green light : DSD

Volume control and gain adjustment
The adjustment of the gain level is done simply thanks to a switch on the front panel of the K7. For the gain, the device offers 2 settings. This setting allows the K7 to be used with a large majority of headphones and earphones on the market for a comfortable volume listening. Concerning the volume, the K7 has 112 adjustable steps thanks to the knob on its front panel.
Volume control on ADC
The K7 incorporates an ADC, allowing it to take advantage of an RCA line input with adjustable volume level. It reconstructs the analog volume curve to allow for smooth and accurate adjustment while eliminating unwanted noise and potential balance problems. This design also allows many different headphone models with different sensitivities to be used with the K7.
