The iFi Audio Zen Air DAC 2 is a USB DAC with an integrated headphone amplifier designed to deliver high-quality audio reproduction in a compact and accessible format. It is based on a bit-perfect Cirrus Logic MasterHiFi DAC compatible with DSD and DXD, combined with an optimized internal architecture and a USB interface developed in-house by iFi. Compatible with PCM streams up to 32bit / 384kHz, native DSD256, and DXD, it ensures precise and faithful digital-to-analog conversion.

The Zen Air DAC 2 also features a headphone amplifier capable of delivering up to 286mW at 32Ω via its 6.35mm jack output and up to 484mW at 64Ω via its balanced 4.4mm jack output. It offers a stereo RCA line output with fixed or variable level (2V to 3.4V depending on preamp mode), allowing use with a power amplifier or active speakers. It includes proprietary PowerMatch (gain adjustment) and XBass+ (analog bass enhancement) technologies, as well as a front-panel analog volume control. Power is supplied via USB-C, with optimized consumption and plug & play operation. Compact and versatile, it is an ideal solution for use with a computer or in a desktop HiFi system.

The device includes a high-performance headphone amplifier capable of delivering substantial power suitable for a wide variety of headphones. It features a balanced 4.4 mm jack output delivering up to 484 mW at 64Ω, as well as an unbalanced 6.35 mm jack output delivering 286 mW at 32Ω, ensuring excellent versatility for both demanding and more sensitive headphones.

The PowerMatch function allows adjustment of the gain according to the headphones used, optimizing output level and ensuring better volume control, with increased dynamics and ideal adaptation to different impedances.

The Zen Air DAC 2 features XBass+ technology, an analog circuit designed to enhance low frequencies without affecting mids or highs.
