This product has been replaced by the new version, the MATRIX MINI-I 3 PRO MQA DAC ES9038Q2M.
Streamer / Headphone amplifier / DAC ES9038Q2M 768kHz DSD512 Balanced

This fourth version of the Matrix Audio Mini-i series features network player capabilities as well as a balanced, powerful audio circuit while maintaining the superb compact design of its predecessors.
The interface gains in readability thanks to the introduction of a 3.3-inch color screen offering a pleasant and intuitive use.
The main evolution of the Matrix Mini-I-3 lies in its functionalities since it now includes a complete network drive.
The device can work with a wide range of digital audio sources. Thanks to its Roon Ready configuration and its support for UPnP protocols, the Mini-i 3 can easily receive bit-perfect audio streams via a LAN connection or from an Apple device with AirPlay.
The Mini-i-3 functions as a Roon terminal, allowing a simple, transparent remote connection that does not require any configuration to achieve bit-perfect audio stream.

The Mini-I-3 incorporates a balanced low noise, low distortion headphone amplification circuit. The latter is accessible via a 6.35mm jack connector as well as a 4.4mm jack connector compatible with most of the most popular balanced headphones.
The power of the headphone amplifier has been significantly revised upwards from previous versions with an increase in power of 50% for an unbalanced connection and of 370% for a balanced connection.
Unlike previous versions of the Matrix Mini-i series, the Mini-i 3 now uses an integrated antenna to ensure quality wireless transmission without compromising the ergonomics and aesthetics of the device.
Its bluetooth receiver supports the LDAC standard and can therefore work with compatible sources to receive digital streams with an impressive resolution reaching 96kHz / 24bit. Likewise, the bluetooth reception circuit is compatible with the apt-X HD standard and supports 48kHz / bit streams with your bluetooth audio sources sharing this standard.

Numerous digital connectors are available as input to allow all kinds of integration into almost all types of advanced audio installations.
The Mini-i 3 has its own SPDIF interface with coaxial and optical connector, ideal for connecting your CD players, SPDIF drives, televisions and game consoles.
The USB interface is now accessible via a USB-C connector for a reliable and easy connection. The latter allows operation as a USB DAC to add very high definition audio output to your computers and other USB devices.
Finally, there is an I2S receiver directly accessible on an HDMI connector. The latter respects the LVDS pinout and offers very high performance connectivity for your most advanced high fidelity devices.
In addition to its excellent digital connectivity, the Mini-I3 has a very useful analog input for turntables, radios, cassette players... This stereo analog input on an RCA connector is a very elegant and space-saving solution for easily connecting audio sources of different technologies within a single Hi-Fi installation.

Unlike previous versions of its series, the Mini-i 3 has a 3.3 "24-bit color LCD screen on the front. The display offers a superb color interface which provides a very intuitive solution to control all the functions of the DAC.  Active inputs, streaming protocols, device configuration and even filtering options as well as I2S interface definitions.
