The Topping E50 II, an evolution of the E50, is a DAC that offers excellent performance thanks to meticulously selected components. It also features a number of improvements in terms of functionality compared to its little brother. The E50 II benefits from an AK4497S chip coupled with an XMOS XU316 interface, enabling it to support high-resolution sampling rates up to 32-bit 768kHz PCM and DSD512 while maintaining a THD+N of just 0.0001% and offering a dynamic range of up to 131dB. Bluetooth allows the E50 II to support high-resolution codecs up to LDAC for flawless wireless reception and superior audio quality. In addition to Bluetooth, other improvements include support for ADAT, the Topping Home app, and a 10-band PEQ function for precise sound adjustment. In terms of connectivity, it has all the essentials with several digital inputs and two analog stereo outputs, one RCA and the second a balanced 6.35mm TRS jack.
Topping E50 II: an excellent chipset
AK4497S DAC
The AKM AK4497S stereo DAC chip based on VELVETSOUND technology enables the E50 II to deliver exceptional performance. Notably, a THD+N of 0.0001% @ 1kHz and an SNR of up to 131dB.
XMOS XU316 USB interface
The XMOS USB interface allows the E50 II to support high-definition sampling rates up to PCM 32-bit 768kHz and DSD512.
FPGA for ADAT processing
An FPGA chip automatically recognizes SPDIF or ADAT signals and processes both formats for greater versatility.
Topping E50 II: high-definition Bluetooth
The Topping E50 II features a Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth chip, allowing it to receive SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, and LDAC codecs. This means you can enjoy wireless listening at up to 24-bit 96kHz for the most enjoyable listening experience.
Topping E50 II: preamplification function
A preamplification mode allows the Topping E50 II to be connected directly to a power amplifier or active speakers while offering precise volume control via the included infrared remote control.

The E50 II's independent output stage offers different output levels to suit any type of amplifier, whether it be a headphone amplifier, a power amplifier, or even active speakers. Its different output levels help prevent problems such as overloads or insufficient power.
