The FiiO Snowsky Disc is a digital audio player (DAP) that combines a retro design inspired by CD walkmans with modern audio technology. Ultra-compact and lightweight, it slips easily into a pocket and features a distinctive 1.8inch (360x360px) disc-shaped IPS display. It features two CS43131 DAC chips, compatible with 32bit 384kHz PCM and DSD128, and an Ingenic X2000 processor, delivering faster processing speeds for an enhanced music listening experience.
In addition, the Snowsky Disc features Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, as well as a single-ended 3.5mm output and an balanced 4.4mm jack output delivering up to 280mW, all designed to cater to a wide range of on-the-go use cases.
FiiO Snowsky Disc: A high-performance DAP
The Snowsky Disc is equipped with two CS43131 DAC chips, enabling it to support audio formats up to 32bit 384kHz PCM and DSD128 within a balanced audio circuit with an independent power supply. With a signal-to-noise ratio of 129dB and low output impedance (32Ω), it ensures precise control of the transducers, even with demanding headphones or earphones. The player can deliver up to 125mW via its 3.5mm single-ended output and 280mW via its 4.4mm balanced output, providing sufficient power for a wide range of headphones and earphones
FiiO Snowsky Disc: Connectivity and battery life
The Snowsky Disc features Wi-Fi connectivity with Airplay support and Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC support, enabling a fast, stable and high-fidelity wireless connection to Bluetooth headphones or speakers for on-the-go listening. It also features a microSD card slot supporting cards up to 2TB (not included), and offers approximately 12 hours of continuous playback thanks to its 1450mAh battery.
FiiO Snowsky Disc: Design and versatility
The retro design of the Snowsky Disc makes this device as stylish as it is high-performing. The Snowsky Disc can play audio files (DSD, MP3, OGG, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC) from a microSD card or via USB (in DAC mode), and stream to headphones or earphones via Bluetooth. With a vintage style reminiscent of CD players, its robust aluminium casing and circular IPS screen offer a variety of dynamic user interfaces that support the display of album covers and lyrics. Furthermore, it also provides access to an equaliser with 8 modes, such as "retro" and "pop", as well as numerous filters allowing for complete listening customisation. Finally, its X2000 processor and Linux-based OS are designed to ensure an optimal listening experience by focusing on the music itself.
