Exceptional internal design
The DX220 Max's digital-to-analog conversion stage has no less than two ESS ES9028Pro chips, one per channel, representing the best available on the DAP market today. These 32-bit DACs are combined with numerous electronic components, carefully selected for their performance and their ability to promote rich, pure and dynamic sound reproduction. These include optocouplers (or photocouplers), which allow a signal to be transmitted from one circuit to another without galvanic contact, or high-end isolators, which cancel out possible interference on the power or signal path, as well as ground loops.
The Class A amplification stage, based on an improved version of the AMP8, delivers high power to accompany both high-sensitivity earphones and high-impedance headphones, while maintaining perfect clarity of the sound message. The PCB includes tantalum capacitors from Kemet, Panasonic and ROHM, as well as audio electrolytic capacitors and metal film resistors from Toshin, Panasonic and Nichicon.
All the components of the DAP are perfectly optimized to deliver a stunning sound reproduction that is sure to delight audiophiles and music lovers looking for the ultimate listening experience.
Perfectly optimized power supply
The DX220 Max's equally exceptional power supply stage integrates no less than five batteries. One of these is used to cleanly power the CPU and DAC, while the other four provide a large reserve of power for the analog amplifier stage. The independent use of one battery for the DAC and CPU ensures that no noise is induced that could degrade the signal. As a result, the DX220 Max offers clear and detailed audio reproduction without background noise. Charging is also separate with a DC In and a USB-C input.
Analogue volume control
The DX220 Max's volume knob conceals an analog volume control, a feature very rarely available on DAPs and more often reserved for sedentary amplifiers and DACs. This option allows for extremely precise volume level control, without damaging the audio signal in any way.
Suitable for all uses
The DX220 Max will be able to adapt to different uses with a particularly rich connectivity for a DAP. There is an unbalanced output on 3.5mm jack, a balanced output and a line output on 4.4mm jack as well as a SPDIF output. The maximum output level of 8.8Vrms is obtained on the balanced output, allowing to accompany the most demanding headphones.
The integrated operating system is a modified and optimized version of Android, allowing intuitive use of DAP and easy access to your audio files.
A sober, elegant and robust design
All the components of the DX220 Max are integrated in an elegant Aluminium chassis, precisely CNC machined. Robust, it will be able to accompany you fearlessly on your travels, allowing you to listen to high quality sound wherever you are.
