The Shanling Q2 is a compact DAP equipped with four Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC chips, capable of supporting PCM streams up to 768 kHz and DSD512. Its amplification delivers up to 425mW into 32Ω, while its 3.5mm and 4.4mm jack outputs ensure compatibility with most earphones and headphones.
With its aluminum and glass housing measuring 80 × 50 × 13.5 mm and weighing 83 g, the Q2 combines local playback, network streaming, bidirectional Bluetooth and use as a USB DAC or bit-perfect digital transport. Its MTouch system, its microSD slot compatible up to 2TB and its 1850mAh battery make it a player designed to centralize high-resolution audio playback in a portable format.
Shanling Q2: Digital conversion with four CS43131 chips
The Shanling Q2 features four Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC chips, an architecture that allows it to support PCM streams up to 768kHz as well as DSD512. It reaches a signal-to-noise ratio of 130dB and a total harmonic distortion of 0.0005%, in order to preserve signal accuracy during digital-to-analog conversion.
Shanling Q2: Compact format and headphone connectivity
The Q2 adopts a housing combining aluminum and glass, limited to 80 × 50 × 13.5 mm for a weight of 83g. Its 2.09-inch screen brings together the main playback information in a format suited to portable use. Despite these reduced dimensions, it features a 3.5mm jack output as well as a 4.4mm output, which broadens its compatibility with earphones and headphones equipped with a single-ended or balanced connection.
Shanling Q2: Output power and volume control
The amplification section develops up to 425mW into 32Ω, a power level able to drive most headphones and earphones on the market. Gain management adapts the output level to the different sensitivities of transducers, while the 100-step volume adjustment allows precise setting, particularly with sensitive earphones.
Shanling Q2: An architecture designed for audio
The Shanling Q2 is based on an Ingenic X2000 processor, combined with the internal MTouch System operating system. Developed specifically for audio uses, this environment prioritizes playback management and music functions in order to maintain an interface suited to library browsing and stream control.
Shanling Q2: Bidirectional Bluetooth 5.2
The bidirectional Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity allows the Q2 to transmit the signal to a compatible headphone or speaker, but also to receive streams from another source. Support for the LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, AAC and SBC codecs adapts the transmission to the associated equipment, with a quality depending on the selected codec.
Shanling Q2: Network access and streaming services
The Q2 natively features Tidal and supports Wi-Fi, AirPlay and DLNA connections. This connectivity allows access to online content or reception of music from various devices on the home network, in addition to the playback of locally stored files.
Shanling Q2: Memory expansion via microSD card
A microSD slot allows storage capacity to be expanded up to 2TB. This possibility increases the volume of high-resolution files accessible directly from the player, while retaining a compact format suited to transport.

The bidirectional USB-C port allows the Q2 to be used as a USB DAC with a computer or a compatible device. It can also function as a bit-perfect digital transport, transmitting the stream without modification to an external DAC, which allows it to integrate into various audio configurations.

The integrated 1850mAh battery offers a stated autonomy of up to 16.5 hours over Bluetooth and 13.5 hours with the 3.5mm jack output.
