It maintains the features of its predecessor, with improvements such as a 3-level gain control and a balanced input on a 6.35mm TRS jack. Its amplifier circuit incorporates an NCFA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) module for exceptional performance. Moreover, the A50 III has a maximum output power of 2x 3500mW, a comfortable reserve that enables it to drive many of the headphones available on the market, including models with up to 300 ohms impedance without difficulty.

TOPPING A50 III: ultra-high-performance NFCA module

The A50 III incorporates a NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) module with hybrid current/voltage architecture combined with UHGF (Ultra High Gain Feedback) technology. This gives the A50 III excellent AC and DC performance. High output current enables the amplifier to accompany all types of headphones. An ultra-low noise level of 0.3µV, a dynamic range of 144dB and the absence of background noise also enable the A50 III to power the most sensitive IEMs with ease.

TOPPING A50 III: high output power

The A50 III's output power enables it to drive headphones with impedances ranging from 32 ohm to 300 ohm. In fact, it can deliver up to 2x 3500mW of power @ 32 ohm and up to 2x 760mW of power @ 300 ohm, all with a THD < 0.01%.

TOPPING A50 III: 2 headphone outputs and 3 gain levels

The A50 III features two headphone outputs, one on a 6.35mm jack and one balanced on a 4.4mm jack. A knob on the front panel selects the 3-level gain setting for the headphone outputs.

TOPPING A50 III: essential connectors

The rear panel of the A50 III features an RCA input and a balanced stereo input on a 6.35mm TRS connector. Added to this is a 12V trigger enabling it to be paired with other devices for simultaneous ignition. Its connectivity makes it the perfect ally for Topping's D50 III DAC.
