The Audio-GD DI-24HE digital interface is based on an Amanero Combo 384 USB module coupled to a pair of Accusilicon 90/98MHz clocks. The circuit is designed to offer a plethora of options with regard to clock usage strategies: interfacing from the internal clocks, using an external clock (slave mode), or offloading the internal clock to a third-party device (master mode). This type of circuit allows integration into highly advanced audio systems.

An Altera FGPA logic circuit is responsible for generating the output signal. This high-frequency chip is isolated from the USB interface to avoid any parasitic noise, both in terms of signal conversion and clock signal accuracy.

Audio-GD DI-24HE : New features

  • Integrated 50Ω and 75Ω external clock input ports.
  • Integrated 10MHz clock generator. The FPGA reduces jitter and phase noise. The 50Ω and 75Ω clock outputs enable operation as an external clock, feeding the DAC's 10MHz signal. The clock outputs can be switched between internal and external clock using front-panel buttons.
  • On-board isolator. USB and 10MHz clock input isolation.
  • All output circuits are powered by Class A power supplies for best analog feel. The USB interface, FPGA and clocks are powered by 4 groups of DC power supplies and 5 groups of ultra-fast linear power supplies.

Audio-GD DI-24HE : Other features

  • Integrated regenerative power supply, designed using Class A power supplies and symmetrical Class A amplifiers.
  • The Amanero USB interface offers excellent compatibility and stability. It is compatible with Windows, OSX, iOS and Linux systems, and has been tested with certain models of Android TVs and smartphones.
  • The I2S HDMI output supports PCM and DSD formats. Sampling rate can be displayed on the front panel.
  • R-Core transformer and 13 groups of power supplies to power the various circuits independently.
  • The USB interface and FPGA processor use the same clocks to avoid affecting sound quality.
  • The FPGA's data processing mode can be parallel or serial.
  • The display can show PCM and DSD sampling rates, and can be used to view and select parameters.
  • Integrated USB firmware update button and FPGA firmware update connector.

Audio-GD DI-24HE : Regenerative power supply

Audio-GD's HE series features Regenerative Power Supply technology, which has undergone extensive testing and research to achieve its current incredible performance. This technology uses a thick aluminum plate to separate the power supply circuits, shields the main power supply circuit and limits the transmission of interference between the power supply and the audio circuits. The quality of this power supply system can be felt right from the first listen, with more detailed reproduction, greater dynamics, deeper bass and a wider soundstage. What's more, this technology also offers a more "analog" sound reproduction.
