VEZZOSO DPC DELUXE Digital Interface

The Vezzoso DSP Deluxe is a digital interface designed to optimise the digital audio signal before its analogue conversion. Placed between a digital source (CD player, audio server, etc.) and a DAC, this device performs two essential functions: signal reclocking and oversampling to reduce jitter and improve the fidelity of the digital stream.

Vezzoso DSP Deluxe: Signal reclocking

The Vezzoso DSP Deluxe performs a complete reclocking of the incoming signal using an internal clock with very low drift of only ±0.3 ppm. This clock replaces the original stream clock, ensuring stable and accurate synchronisation before sending to the DAC. This process limits jitter and synchronisation errors that could alter the signal reproduction.

Vezzoso DSP Deluxe: Oversampling and format conversion

The device incorporates a DDC (Digital Direct Conversion) circuit capable of converting PCM and DSD streams on all of its inputs and outputs. Sampling frequencies can be selected from thirteen values, ranging from 44.1 kHz to 768 kHz for PCM and from DSD64 to DSD512 for DSD. This conversion allows, for example, a 44.1 kHz PCM stream from a CD player to be transformed into a DSD512 signal for the DAC, without the need for the SACD format.

Vezzoso DSP Deluxe: Low-noise power supply

The Vezzoso DSP Deluxe interface uses two transformers to isolate the input and output sections, limiting interference and ensuring a clean power supply. Filter capacitors with a total value of 100,000 µF stabilise the voltage, complemented by ultra-low-noise LDO regulators dedicated to each circuit. Finally, signal processing is handled by a precision DSP (-150 dB), combined with fast output logic to ensure a stable and accurate digital signal.
