XCITE XTB40-8 Speaker Driver Exciter

The XCITE XTB40 is a vibrating speaker designed for low-frequency reproduction, with an architecture that optimises bass extension down to 25Hz. It features an extended excursion of 5.0mm Xmax for 2.5mm of linear displacement, enabling it to generate significant mechanical energy whilst maintaining distortion control, whilst the combination of a dual N42 neodymium magnetic circuit and a 4-layer voice coil increases sensitivity and driving precision.

This approach is further enhanced by an aluminium construction—comprising the chassis and voice coil former—which improves heat dissipation and stabilises performance under high power, whilst the steel suspension with optimised geometry channels magnetic forces and minimises unwanted distortion. Together, these features deliver enhanced usable bass performance, particularly when paired with a high-frequency driver such as the XT25, to extend the overall response whilst maintaining consistency across the entire spectrum.
