The Douk Audio D2 is a 5V linear power supply designed to deliver stable, low-noise DC voltage to digital audio equipment, providing up to 15W at 2.5A. It relies on a regulated architecture integrating an encapsulated transformer, an LM1085IT regulator and low-ESR capacitor filtering to reduce ripple and interference, allowing sensitive circuits to be powered from a cleaner electrical foundation.
Intended for compact Hi-Fi installations and computer audio environments, it combines power supply stability, dual USB-A and DC outputs and straightforward integration, enabling two 5V devices to be powered from a single unit. Douk Audio D2: Low-noise linear power supply
The Douk Audio D2 is a 5V linear power supply designed to deliver stable, low-noise DC voltage, relying on an encapsulated transformer paired with an LM1085IT regulator and Panasonic FM capacitors to smooth the output voltage and reduce residual ripple effectively. This architecture achieves a ripple level below 20µV under no load, while limiting switching supply interference, resulting in a lower noise floor and improved retrieval of fine detail on sensitive audio circuits.
Douk Audio D2: Dual 5V output
Beyond electrical stability, the D2 delivers 15W with a current output of up to 2.5A, enabling consistent powering of 5V devices. The dual USB-A and DC output configuration allows two pieces of equipment to be powered simultaneously, enabling power sources to be centralised within a compact installation while maintaining stable and uniform distribution.
Douk Audio D2: Aluminium chassis
This approach extends to a CNC-machined aluminium chassis, which contributes to reducing electromagnetic interference while improving thermal dissipation of the internal components.
