FOSI AUDIO PSU20 Linear Power Supply DC Jack / USB 5V 12V 15V
The Fosi Audio PSU20 is a linear power supply designed to provide a stable electrical source to Hi-Fi and sensitive electronic devices. Its 80W toroidal transformer feeds a 40W regulation stage, while its three isolated outputs allow several devices to be powered simultaneously with a ripple level limited to 0.1mV.
Intended for audio setups requiring a clean and properly filtered power supply, it combines two DC jack outputs at 12/15 V with a USB-A 5 V output. Its built-in protections and active cooling, triggered from 55 °C, help maintain stable operation while keeping the noise level down to 30 dB.
Fosi Audio PSU20: 40W linear power supply
The Fosi Audio PSU20 is a 40 W linear power supply based on an 80W toroidal transformer. This architecture provides a regulated voltage while limiting the interference generated by the power supply, in order to suit audio devices requiring a stable electrical source.
Fosi Audio PSU20: Isolated outputs
The PSU20 features three fully isolated outputs: two DC jack outputs at 12/15 V and a USB-A 5 V output. This electrical separation allows several devices to be powered simultaneously while limiting interactions between the various circuits, particularly in setups combining a digital source, DAC and amplifier.
Fosi Audio PSU20: Regulation and noise level
The power stage uses Nippon Chemi-Con capacitors as well as three LM1085IT regulators and one ST78M05 regulator from Texas Instruments. This combination achieves a ripple of 0.1mV, in order to reduce the parasitic components likely to affect sensitive audio circuits.
Fosi Audio PSU20: Protection and cooling
The PSU20 monitors its operating conditions to protect itself against overheating, overvoltage and overload. When the temperature reaches 55 °C, a fan starts up to dissipate the heat; its noise level limited to 30dB preserves the discretion of the power supply within a Hi-Fi setup.
