I’ve been using Raspberry Pi and various HAT combinations for a few years around the house, in the bathroom, bedroom, garage etc. Powered from a selection of switching mode power supplies. No complaints, they sound fine. But for my “main” system I persuaded myself that I needed to upgrade. I am glad I did. I have removed all the switching mode power supplies from nearby and I am running an Audiophonics iSabre DAC and a Pro-Ject Phono DS2 Ultra from this Topping device. The improvement is tangible. The sound emerges from a quiet background and it has atmosphere and presence. Particularly enjoying the recent release of Bill Evans at Hilversum. I recommend this inexpensive upgrade. (Other components are - iconAudio 40i Stereo Valve Amplifier, ATC SMC11 loudspeakers, picoreplayer, Logitech média server.)
