Audiophonics HC Trigger Switch MKII: Dual trigger output
The HC Trigger Switch MKII has two output triggers, so it can be used in a dual-mono configuration.
Outputs include simultaneously active RCA and XLR outputs:
- The “home cinema” signal, natively in RCA, is buffered and symmetrized by a pair of OPA1642 circuits to be available on the XLR output.
- The “Hi-Fi” signal, natively in XLR, is buffered and desymmetrized by a DIP8-mounted LM4562 AOP before being made available on the RCA output.
The original home theater / Hi-Fi application can of course be used to mix two audio systems, as long as the RCA system has a trigger output to switch the input.
As the RCA and XLR outputs are active at the same time and perfectly independent, you can also envisage a configuration involving bi-amplification.
