Dynamic In-Ear Monitors 2DD+8BA 22Ω 128dB 20Hz-20kHz
Moondrop unveils its Darksaber high-end dynamic in-ear monitors (IEMs). The Darksaber feature two 10mm dynamic drivers and 8 Balanced Armatures drivers (4 for midrange and 4 for treble). The dynamic drivers are arranged in horizontal opposition (H.O.D.D.D.U.S) to reduce linear distortion and provide greater dynamics and responsiveness at low frequencies. The shell of these in-ear headphones is composed of hundreds of layers of carbon fiber, making it durable, lightweight and aesthetically pleasing. Finally, a Litz wire structure cable with silver-plated copper conductors, 0.78mm CIEM connectors and interchangeable termination ensures transmission of the audio signal from the source device to the high-end Moondrop Darksaber monitors.
2DD+8BA combination and bass optimization with opposing dynamic driver design
Darksabers feature 2 dynamic drivers for low frequencies, 4 Balanced Armature drivers for midrange and 4 Balanced Armature drivers for treble. Each driver plays a specific role in processing the audio signal for clear, precise sound reproduction. This is made possible by the internal design of the headphones and a 2-way crossover circuit that gives these earphones excellent performance across the entire frequency range they cover. In addition, the two 10mm dynamic drivers are arranged in horizontal opposition (H.O.D.D.D.U.S - Horizontallly Opposed Dual Dynamic Drivers Unit System) to optimize the drivers' magnetic fields for better energy/efficiency conversion and reduced levels of linear distortion. Moondrop has also applied precise, professional-quality acoustic tuning to the Darksabers.
High-end frequency response
Moondrop's Darksaber in-ear monitors benefit from a constant, linear frequency response phase for an overall natural timbre and to facilitate the correct distribution of the various frequencies to the dynamic drivers that make them up. As a result, Darksaber earphones offer a wide soundstage and authentic timbre.
Cable with silver-plated copper conductors and interchangeable termination
Darksabers come with a high-quality cable. It features a Litz wire structure with silver-plated copper conductors. On both sides of the cable are standard CIEM 0.78mm connectors and a termination with interchangeable jack connectors: 3.5mm jack and balanced 4.4mm jack.
Make sure you connect the 3.5mm or 4.4mm jack terminals the right way around. A visual mark consisting of an arrow is present on both elements.
