Moondrop unveils its MAY in-ear monitors, hybrid dual-speaker IEMs. The MAY in-ear monitors feature a Ø10mm sapphire-plated diaphragm dynamic driver and a Ø6mm planar magnetic driver for high frequencies. They adopt a high-end cable with 0.78mm CIEM connector and USB-C termination, with a USB interface enabling them to access 5 DSP filters via the free Moondrop LINK 2.0 application. The cable also incorporates a microphone with control buttons.
Moondrop MAY: Hybrid dynamic and magnetic planar structure
The Moondrop MAY's sapphire-plated dynamic driver provides a lovely, natural timbre, wide frequency response and ultra-low distortion. The planar magnetic driver, meanwhile, handles high frequencies above 8000kHz for detailed, smooth and transparent reproduction. A two-way crossover and FEA optimization enable these drivers to work harmoniously together.
Moondrop May: Custom USB-C interface
The USB-C interface enables these in ear monitors to support high-resolution streams up to PCM 32bit 384kHz and achieve a high level of performance with a dynamic range measured at 120dB and a THD+N ≤ 0.05%. In addition, the circuit is symmetrically designed for sound reproduction with the most natural timbre possible.
Moondrop May: DSP filters
Thanks to the MoonDrop Link 2.0 application, you can choose from 5 DSP filter presets, as well as access an equalizer and numerous configurations created by Moondrop or other users. These features allow you to adjust the sound to your preferences, whether you're listening to your best tracks or enjoying high-end sound while playing video games.
Please note that these settings are not compatible with IOS systems. They are only compatible with Android systems. However, this will not prevent you from enjoying your music with the Moondrop May via an IOS system.
Moondrop MAY: a cable with microphone
The Moondrop May cable incorporates a microphone for receiving telephone calls. It also features control buttons for volume adjustment and easy access to the Play/Pause function. The cable is of course interchangeable, so you can use the Moondrop May with another cable with 0.78mm CIEM connectors.
