Topping Mini 500 Integrated Amplifier 2x220W 4 Ohm / 1x450W 2 Ohm White
The Topping Mini 500 is a class D integrated amplifier that can operate in stereo or mono mode, delivering 2×220W or 450W respectively. Its BTL architecture in stereo mode and its 126dB signal-to-noise ratio allow it to combine driving capability with a low noise floor.
Intended for scalable Hi‑Fi setups, it can directly drive a pair of speakers or be used as a power amplifier with an external preamplifier thanks to the volume control bypass. Its Trigger input makes integration into a compatible system easier, while its aluminum chassis and heatsinks support its operation by limiting heat buildup.
Topping Mini 500: Mono or stereo amplification
The Topping Mini 500 is a class D amplifier designed to adapt to different listening configurations. It delivers up to 2×220W in stereo mode to drive a pair of speakers, or 450W in mono mode when the setup requires a single, more powerful amplification channel. This versatility allows it to be integrated into a stereo system as well as into a configuration where it complements other amplifiers.
Its signal performance is based on a 126dB signal-to-noise ratio and −111dB crosstalk. In stereo mode, the BTL architecture contributes to a high driving capability; it can drive complex loads while maintaining control of the signal. The Mini 500 can thus meet the needs of demanding speakers, depending on the conditions of use and the chosen configuration.
Topping Mini 500: Adaptable integration
The Mini 500 can operate as an integrated amplifier or as a power amplifier combined with an external preamplifier. For the latter configuration, the volume control bypass, accessible on the rear of the unit, disables the built-in volume adjustment and leaves this function to the preamplifier. This makes it easier to insert into an existing Hi‑Fi system without having to change the role of the other devices.
The Trigger input complements these integration options by allowing the Mini 500 to be connected to a compatible device, in order to synchronize its power-on with that of the system. It can thus fit into a setup where several components must work together, whether used alone or as part of a larger system.
Topping Mini 500: Aluminum chassis
The aluminum chassis houses large heatsinks, while openings under the unit and on its rear panel promote airflow. This design supports the dissipation of the heat generated by the amplification, particularly when the Mini 500 is operating at high power.
