The MiniDSP UMA-16 is a USB microphone Plug & Play high performance 16 channels. With its embedded module SHARC + XMOS, the UMA-16 is an ideal solution for the development of beamforming algorithms (spatial filtering) or the DIY creation of an acoustic camera. Its architecture consists of two key elements:

• The module integrates 16 MEMS Knowles SPH1668LM4H on a uniform grid (Uniform Rectangular Array). A central hole allows you to install an optional USB camera (not included) for acoustic camera design.
• At the heart of the UMA-16's operation is a nanoSharc kit consisting of a SHARC ADSP21489 400MHz and a 500MHz multi-core processor offering high processing power for SNR PDM to PCM conversion of low latency USB audio.
