IBASSO DC ELITE DAC / Portable Headphone Amplifier BD34301EKV 32bit 768kHz DSD512
The Ibasso DC-Elite is the miniature version of the DX320 Max. In fact, the components and architecture of this portable DAC / headphone amplifier are inspired by the DAP DX320 Max. It incorporates a RHOM BD34301EKV DAC chip, FGPA and NDK femtosecond oscillator to achieve a considerable reduction in jitter and distortion. Thanks to its circuit design, it consumes little power and still develops power of up to 280mW @ 32Ω on its balanced 4.4mm jack output and 162mW @ 32Ω on its unbalanced 3.5mm jack output. Input is via USB-C connector.
Ibasso DC Elite: a ROHM BD34301EKV DAC chip
Ibasso has chosen to integrate a RHOM BD34301EKV DAC chip to greatly enhance the dynamic range of the DC Elite DAC / Portable Headphone Amplifier, giving it a wide soundstage. Coupled with the DC Elite's ingenious circuit design, this DAC chip contributes to making it a high-performance high-fidelity device.
Ibasso DC Elite: NDK femtosecond oscillator + FGPA
The DC-Elite benefits from a FGPA algorithm developed in-house by Ibasso. Its very low level of jitter and distortion is made possible by the use of an NDK femtosecond oscillator, which considerably improves the quality of sound reproduction.
iBasso DC Elite; 24-position, 4-section volume control
Ibasso has completely updated the traditional 24-position volume control. As with the DX320 Max, the DC-Elite benefits from a miniaturized stage potentiometer. This type of potentiometer is generally used on high-end amplifiers. The DC Elite achieves an SNR of 96.3dB. The sound of each channel is precisely controlled, with a difference of just +/-0.1dB.
Ibasso DC Elite: high-fidelity architecture
The DC Elite adopts a complete player architecture with ultra-low-noise LDOs, FGPA, DAC, I/V converter, low-pass filter, volume control and amplifier stage. It incorporates no fewer than 6 operational amplifiers and delivers excellent sound reproduction.
Ibasso DC Elite: a clean, stable power supply
This portable DAC/headphone amplifier features not only a synchronous DC-DC converter, but also numerous ultra-low-noise LDOs. This enables the power supply system to achieve a noise level of just 0.8uV, with an output current of up to 500mA to power the Ibasso DC Elite.
Ibasso DC Elite: LED indicators
A LED on one side of the DC Elite indicates its operating status: red for standby, green for PCM, blue for DSD and white for coaxial output.
Ibasso DC Elite: 3 types of output
The DC Elite features 3 outputs: a balanced jack 4.4mm headphone output, a single-ended jack 3.5mm headphone output and a coaxial output on the same 3.5mm jack. In fact, the 3.5mm jack interface is capable of transmitting SPDIF coaxial signals for direct connection of the DC Elite to an external DAC. To do this, simply apply a long press to the volume knob. The LED indicator turns white.
Ibasso DC Elite: a control application
The proprietary Ibasso UAC APP has been updated for full compatibility with the DC Elite. It gives you access to 4 levels of PCM volume reduction, 2 digital filter options and 20 levels of L/R channel balance.
