The xDuoo XD05 Basic2 is a portable DAC and headphone amplifier designed to handle both digital-to-analog conversion and signal amplification. It supports PCM streams up to 32bit 384kHz, DSD256 as well as MQA 8x, relying on an architecture built around a CS43131 converter in order to reduce distortion to 0.0006% while increasing the signal-to-noise ratio to 124dB, resulting in a cleaner signal and more stable playback.

Designed for both portable and desktop use, it combines USB-C and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, allowing integration with a wide range of sources while maintaining compatibility with high-definition codecs, while its 750mW output power enables it to drive headphones with varying sensitivities. This approach extends to a gain adjustment and a 99-step volume control, enabling precise listening level tuning, while maintaining consistent operation through a switchable power supply between battery and DC mode, facilitating seamless use both on the move and in a fixed setup.
