The Furutech e-TP609 NCF-N1 is a power distributor designed to provide a dedicated power supply point within a demanding Hi-Fi or home cinema system. It features six individually wired mains sockets from a central IEC input, based on an internal architecture that prioritises continuity of conduction in order to distribute power evenly between the various connected devices.
Beyond this electrical foundation, Furutech incorporates several specific treatments and materials designed to stabilise the electrical and mechanical environment of the mains distribution. The chassis features GC-303 absorbent material applied to the internal plate to limit electromagnetic interference generated by internal components, while certain structural components use NCF (Nano Crystal² Formula), a composite combining ceramic and carbon particles to dampen certain vibrations and static charges. This approach is extended by the Alpha treatment applied to metal parts, which aims to stabilise the mechanical and electrical properties of the conductors. The whole design is therefore based on the idea that a power strip is not just for distributing power, but also for controlling interference that could affect a sensitive audio system.
The two-stage Alpha process developed by Furutech significantly improves the performance of the device. This treatment begins during the manufacturing process with deep cryogenic freezing of all metal parts. Using specific refrigerants – liquid N2 or He – Furutech achieves temperatures between -196°C and -250°C. The treated parts undergo a change in their molecular structure, thereby relieving internal stresses. The molecules bond more tightly together and the overall structure becomes more stable. This improves electrical conductivity and, as a result, power and signal transfer.
The second stage of Alpha treatment exposes these same parts to the patented ring demagnetisation treatment. Ordinary high-powered magnets used for this purpose often increase magnetic effects and leave some areas more magnetised than others. This patented process uses controlled attenuation to completely eliminate magnetisation and achieve better performance, including in terms of conductivity.
The GC-303 is a special material that Furutech bonds to the inner bottom plate of the chassis, absorbing any EMI noise that may be transmitted by your power source or generated by the internal equipment of a device.
Each socket is held in place in the chassis by a dedicated fastening system developed by Furutech, based on a special locking screw that mechanically secures the socket block to the aluminium structure. This fastening limits the micro-movements that can occur during repeated insertion and removal of the mains plugs, thus preserving the alignment of the contacts and the consistency of the mechanical pressure exerted on the pins. Beyond simple mechanical support, this approach aims to stabilise the socket-chassis assembly in order to prevent any parasitic oscillation, which helps to maintain a consistent electrical connection over time, particularly in installations where power cables can exert significant mechanical stress.

Integrated into a selection of Furutech products, NCF is based on a special crystalline material with two active properties. Firstly, NCF generates negative ions that eliminate static electricity. Secondly, it converts thermal energy into infrared rays. Furutech combines this material with ceramic nanoparticles and carbon powder for their piezoelectric damping properties. Furutech thus obtains the optimal electrical and mechanical damping material.
