The SW-10 PRO is a high-end network switch from LHY Audio featuring six RJ45 ports, two SPF ports, and two BNC outputs directly connected to two SC-CUT OCXO clocks. All of this is housed in an elegant aluminium housing where each operating stage is physically isolated from the others, ensuring complete lack of crosstalk interference.
LHY Audio SW-10 PRO: Aluminium housing
The body of the SW-10 PRO is entirely CNC-machined from aluminium. It incorporates a compartmentalised internal structure that physically isolates the power supply, OCXO clock and 2.5G and 1.0G RJ45 outputs. This separation reduces interference between sensitive circuits, limiting crosstalk. The aluminium chassis also acts as a heat sink, ensuring passive and stable internal temperature management.
LHY Audio SW-10 PRO: Low-noise linear power supply
The linear power supply is based on two NORATEL toroidal transformers, dedicated respectively to the clock section and the network circuit. This independence once again prevents contamination between stages. Eighteen linear regulators (LDOs) ensure low-noise power distribution across all sub-circuits. This architecture minimises background noise and helps reduce jitter.
LHY Audio SW-10 PRO: SC-CUT OCXO Oscillators
The main clock section uses two temperature-controlled SC-CUT OCXO oscillators, displaying phase noise below –110 dBc/Hz. These oscillators are combined with a phase-locked loop (PLL) that guarantees their long-term stability and precise synchronisation with the 2.5G and 1.0G network sections. The SW10 PRO also has two 10 MHz / 50 Ω BNC outputs, allowing external synchronisation of a DAC or streamer, and giving it the role of master clock in a Hi-fi installation.
LHY Audio SW-10 PRO: Optical isolation of the audio section
Finally, a dual single-mode optical connection ensures complete isolation between the network section and the audio section, eliminating all electrical interference and guaranteeing a clean, stable network environment for digital audio playback.
