GLA-RCA Volume control module
Volume control module with Encoder / Display / Remote control
This volume control module includes an encoder, a display and an IR remote control. This GLA-RCA module features a low-distortion chip (0.0015%) and a 4.2Vrms output level. Sound level is controlled over a wide range from -97dB to 0dB by potentiometer, with a volume memory function. The display shows values from 0 to 95, with one step representing 1dB. The module's supply voltage is +/-12V. DC. This module is ideal for any DIY project requiring volume control.
GLA-RCA volume control module components
Encoder
The encoder features a potentiometer, resistors and an NJW1194 chip. The NJW1194 is a low-noise, low-distortion 2-channel volume control chip. A 78M05 voltage regulator and STCW204S microcontroller are also integrated.
Display
On the display side, there's of course an LED screen, but also an indication LED with IR receiver. All this is supported by a 16-channel JXI5020 LED microcontroller.
Remote control
A small infrared remote control allows you to control sound level and the mute function from a distance. Very practical, it eliminates the need to move around and systematically use the potentiometer to access the volume control.
