SILKLINE ZUKI I
Balanced Preamplifier / DAC AD1955 32bit / 192kHz USB XMOS
Silkline Zuki I combines the functions of preamplifier and DAC. The preamplifier function has a balanced and unbalanced output and a voltage gain of 12dB. High-performance ADI AD1955 conversion chip decodes up to 32-bit / 192Khz PCM. Moreover, it is equipped with an XMOS XU208 USB interface, an 8-core processor working with FGPA, and a CS8416 SPDIF receiver. On the input side, the Zuki I offers a full range of connectors, while outputs include RCA and balanced XLR.
Overall, the Zuki I delivers excellent performance and transparent sound. Its simple, elegant appearance makes it easy to integrate into any Hi-Fi audio system.

Silkline chose to integrate top-quality, market-renowned components to position the Zuki I as a high-resolution audio preamplifier / DAC.
Balanced preamplifier with source selection
With a gain of 12dB, this SilkLine preamplifier lets you balance an analog input signal on an RCA input, thanks to its balanced XLR output. On the front panel, 6 buttons allow you to select the input source, whether digital (USB-B / AES/EBU / Toslink / Coaxial) or analogue (4x RCA). The Zuki I also features an IR remote control for distant audio control.
A high-performance volume controller and OPA
Silkline has equipped the Zuki I with a CS3310 volume controller featuring a precision level of 0.5dB and an ultra-low distortion level of 0.001%.
Two Burr Brown OPA 2134PA amplify the signal. They combine the precision and low noise of bipolar transistors with the speed and sound quality of JFETs. This results in very good THD, low noise and low power consumption. Integrated in DIP8 format, they are easily replaceable.
XMOS XU208 USB interface
The Zuki I is equipped with a USB-B input and a second-generation USB XMOS interface that supports 32bit/192Khz PCM and is USB Hi-RES Audio 2.0 certified. This 8-core USB interface provides fast signal processing of up to 1000Mps.
In addition, the USB interface supports the Foobar ASIO driver, making it compatible with a wide range of devices.
Please note: the Silkline USB interface requires a driver to be installed on your source device. (SilkLine or Foobar ASIO driver)
An oversampling, SA-CD-compatible D/A conversion chip
SilkLine chose to integrate a high-performance, stereo ADI AD1955 DAC chip. This DAC chip features an up to eight times oversampling function, considerably reducing the noise generated by D/A conversion. It also supports the SA-CD (Super Audio CD) format, a high-end CD format whose standard is DSD64.
A professional SPDIF receiver
The ZUKI I features a CS8416 SPDIF audio receiver. This receiver automatically adapts to different sampling rates and supports up to 24bit / 192Khz. This receiver features extremely low jitter of less than 200ps and is connected to three different types of input: an AES/EBU input, two Toslink optical inputs and two coaxial inputs.
